Maybe the most timeless nail style is the French Manicure.  I do many for the women of Ozaukee County, but not exclusively, by any means.  It was a style, to my knowledge, that became very big back in the 1930s. What’s interesting is that no one is exactly sure where it came from.  Perhaps it was stylish Parisian women were first to wear the nude base with crisp, white tips… but others say Max Factor invented it and that the “French” label is there simply for effect.

Wherever it came from, the French manicure has remarkable staying power. Women all over the world walk into salons and request this elegant look: pink, beige or nude base tipped with pure white. It really does go easily from work to drinks to the red carpet.  It’s so popular, because there really isn’t anything that it won’t look good with.  Well, maybe not if you’re going Goth!

French manicures require a steady hand and real precision if they’re going to look good.  That’s why it’s so hard to do yourself and why, someone like me, might be your best bet in getting the look you truly wanted.
